Andrew Martins – President

Hi fellow chemies! My name is Andrew and am unbelievably ecstatic to serve as your CUSS President this year! A couple things I’m most looking forward to this year is working on new and innovative projects CUSS hasn’t pursued before. I’m also super excited to be leading a team of extremely wonderful, dedicated, and hardworking individuals, who will make your undergraduate chemistry experience 100% better! Can’t wait for a great year!! πŸ™‚

Georgia Douglas – VP External

Hiiii chemists!! I’m super excited to be apart of the CUSS exec this year as your VP external! I think chemistry is cool because literally everything is chemistry and it has so many different applications. I’m in the atmosphere and environment stream, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions about that major because there aren’t that many of us. I’m looking forward to getting to know some of y’all better at our events this year πŸ™‚

Catarina Campanella – VP Internal

Hey Chemies! I hope everyone is having a safe and exciting school year! A few things that I’m really looking forward to this year is meeting our new members of the chemistry family and seeing our department grow together πŸ™‚ Chemistry is a such an amazing science because it is all around us and can be applied to so many things. One thing I love the most is its biological application to the human body; however, I would be lying if I said that I didn’t enjoy some solid-state chemistry every once in a while.

Danielle Davies -VP Communications

Hello Chemistry pals!! I’m so excited to be your VP Comms for this year!! I’m part of the Biophysical Chemistry stream that our department offers, so please send me a message if you have any questions and hopefully this newer program will continue to grow! What I enjoy the most about chemistry is perfectly summed up by my stream: it’s applications in both the physical and biological sciences! I’m really looking forward to hanging out with everyone over online events, and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store! πŸ™‚

Yonger Xie – VP Academic

Hey guys! My name is Yonger and I am your VP Academic this year. I will mostly be working with the departmental academic committee to represent undergraduate students. I’m also your contact for any academic related issues/concerns. I’m interested in the application of chemistry in museum sciences and I really enjoy writing lab reports. This semester is going to be pretty different but I believe that we will have a lot of fun on the online platform and I look forward to finally meeting everyone in person!

Elias Andraos – VP Finance

Hello everyone! My name is Elias and I’m the VP Finance for this year. I got into chem because I love how it can explain so much of our everyday surroundings, like what’s really going on when you’re cooking. I’m looking forward to this year because I finally get to take Quantum (and get it over with). I can’t wait to meet you all in-person, but feel free to hit up my Zoom DMs anytime.

Kobi Pollard – VP Social

Hey y’all!! This year is definitely gonna be a wild one, but I’m excited to plan a whole bunch of new events so that we can all get to know each other! I personally like chemistry because of the huge range of applications. Can’t wait to see y’all at our events!

Amy Lin – U1 Representative

Hello, everyone! My name is Amy and I am incredibly excited to be one of your U1 reps this year! Not too long ago, as a clueless U0, I was undecided of what I wanted to pursue. I picked chemistry because of it’s ability to bridge the gap between the physical and biological sciences. Majoring in the central science, I look forward to getting a glimpse of all the branches of science through chemical applications. I can’t wait to meet all of you and be a part of the McGill chemistry community!! 😊

Colton David – U1 Representative

Hey everyone! I’m really excited to be one of the U1 representatives for this year. Chemistry has always been a passion of mine because it’s all around us, and learning about it allows us to explain visible phenomena on a microscopic level. Although this year is mostly online, I am looking forward to planning virtual events to keep us connected and to meeting you all in person eventually!
